Joshua Kimmich started his career as a central midfielder and has made what seems a seamless transition to right back. Signed from RB Lepzing Kimmich earned his first start under Pep G. in his last year at FCB. Since then he has scored 16 goals playing both in the midfield and right back. Currently causing all kinds of chaos from the right back spot for Bayern Kimmich is second in the league with 10 assists tied with teammate James Rodriquez.(only being beaten by fellow teammate Muller and Phillip Max) He is also second is pass accuracy in the league with 91%…at 23 years old

In the international stage he gained experience winning the U19 Euros. He was included in the 23 man roster for the 2016 Euros and in the final group stage match he was given the start against Northern Ireland and since that day has been the regular right back. He was named to the team of the competition for his efforts in his first senior team competition. Kimmich was included in the very young 23 man roster for the 2017 Confederations Cup. He played every minute of the tournament and vice captained the squad. When captain Julian Draxler was subbed off Joshua donned the armband at the age of 22, becoming the youngest captain for one of the most historical national teams in history since 1912.

Is this the future for Germany. Let me know what you think @GlennLorance on Twitter.
