What’s going on people!
Day 67 without club football and it’s been bleak. I am surviving on African Cup of Nations. However, with the Super Eagles getting eliminated in heartbreaking fashion I am spiraling.
So let us focus on the positives.
Like for all my EPL fans we are just 23 days away from the season opener we get to watch Liverpool play Norwich to see what kind of season we are going to get this year. Either Norwich surprises everyone, or Liverpool smashes them and continues their winning form. Without any signings I don’t see anyone catching Manchester City who have just added on Rodri to strengthen their midfield even more.
Spurs have gotten N’Dombele, but still I see no hope of a trophy for them.(Maybe an Emirates). Arsenal, United, pull yourselves together. Chelsea still got their fans excited and they are on a tranfer ban. All hail Lord Lampard.
No offense my English fans, but I am very much more looking forward to La Liga. I think we may have just one of our closest ever La Liga races since the Mourinho era. After looking at the Real Madrid signings from this summer, the Barcelona signings from the summer, AND the Atletico Madrid signings from this summer, how can you not be excited? I mean Hazard, Jovic, Militao, Mendy, all to Real to reinforce all positions they were lacking last year.
Griezmann, De Jong, Neto, all going to Barcelona…(Yeah they got Neto to be back up).
Joao Felix, Llorente, Morata, Herrera all to Atletico.
ITS ONLY JULY 15th PEOPLE. There is still a month of transfers left to go. Real Madrid is drooling over Pogba, Barcelona is trying to make a deal with the devil to get Neymar, Atletico are after James Rodriguez. SPAIN IS INSANE RIGHT NOW.
But yeah as you can tell I am pretty excited I mean just imagine this battle for Spain, Zidane has returned to claim his Spanish crown again AHHH.
Next we got Germany and I feel that it is getting downplayed the two big dogs over in Germany are making serious moves. Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich are active as hell in the transfer market. Brandt, Hummels, and Thorgan Hazard joining Dortmund on the first week of the market, then Bayern reinforcing the back line with Hernandez, and Pavard. They are also flirting with Sane and Dembele. The Bavarians won the double this year, Dortmund choked away a great hold on the league, both team strengthen their squads, I think Dortmund a bit more than Bayern. Dortmund always have some catching up to do when it comes to Germany anyway.
Next we got Juventus who are making massive strides to sign De Ligt after agreeing to personal terms, it seems like the final fee is going to be around 70 million. They are also on the hunt for Icardi to only strengthen their offense, which holds the greatest player on the planet, and they have their eyes set on the Champions League. Inter is looking at Lukaku and apparently Napoli can’t spend over 30 million on a class midfielder. So its looking like another year for Juve.
See what I did there people plenty of things to get excited about. If we can make these final 20ish days, we will once again be fulfilled.
