What is going on people another week, another recap of the most beautiful football in the world. ITS NOT SOCCER…..Its La Liga. Lets get right into this people I bet like sh*t this week for La Liga strictly because I decided to parlay everything with Sevilla in it. CHOKE ARTISTS.
Real Madrid is still sitting at the top of the table by 1 point over Barcelona, a 2-2 draw had Madrid drop points at home. After Smolov got the first goal in the 7th minute, Madrid was sweating it out until the end of the half. They head back to the locker room down 1-0. Zidane gets his guys going Kroos equalizes in the 52nd minute off a beautiful slotted shot to the bottom left. Ramos got the lead from the penalty spot won by Hazard in the 65th minute. It was all Madrid until the 85th minute Santi Mina equalizes after another gorgeous through ball to tie the top dogs.
Real Madrid 2, Celta Vigo 2. 66% – 34% 13(4) 4(3)
Barcelona given another man of the match effort from Messi in a 2-1 win over 3rd place Getafe. Messi finds Griezmann in the 33rd minute, followed by a Roberto goal in the 39th. Barcelona go up 2-0 into halftime and that was all she wrote. Rodriguez did get one back in the 66th minute, but this game was all Barcelona. Domination in shots, chances, and possession usually end in victory at Camp Nou.
Barcelona 2, Getafe 1. 76% – 24% 9(5) 4(2)
Atletico Madrid in possibly the game of the season entertainment wise in their 2-2 draw against Valencia. Llorente scores early for Atleti in the 15th minute, Paulista equalizes in the 40th only for Thomas to get the lead back just 3 minutes later. Now if you have Jan Oblak in net there is usually a good chance people do not score more than 1 on him. However Kondogbia in the 59th minute got the equalizer to make the rest of the game a battle. I felt Valencia a bit hard done but an instant La Liga classic.
Valencia 2, Atletico Madrid 2. 63% – 37% 7(3) 7(3)
Sevilla hosts Espanyol for the early game, a 2-2 draw at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez. Ocampos got it going early in the 15th minute assisted by the new man Suso. Embarba got the equalizer in the 35th minute, Lei Wu got the lead in the 50th minute for Espanyol and they were cruising. It wasn’t til a 69th minute red card from Victor Sanchez where it all seem to come undone. Suso got the equalizing goal in the 80th minute to make the last 10 very interesting, but it ends a draw.
Sevilla 2, Espanyol 2. 68% – 32% 13(6) 3(3)
Villarreal defeats Levante 2-1, Moreno got the score in the 9th minute nice and early. Levante wouldn’t end up equalizing until the 56th minute. Gomez quickly took the lead back in the 61st. It seemed to me that Villarreal were coasting a bit and needed the extra push of the other team scoring before they got going again. A tough game in the middle of the table as everyone pushes for the top 10. Villarreal jumps to 6th place.
Villarreal 2, Levante 1. 51% – 49% 11(6) 5(2)
Osasuna defeated Athletic Club at home in a 1-0 victory. Oier gets the lone goal, and the game winner in the 29th minute. Inaki Williams had a goal ruled out due to VAR, but it came down to taking your chances. Athletic dominated the game but they couldn’t put the ball in the back of the net. Oiers goal was enough to ruin their day and tie them on points with Athletic.
Osasuna 1, Athletic Club 0. 34% – 66% 4(2) 9(2)
