PL Matchweek 6

Welcome back to my weekly installment of Premier League matchweek preview. As we approach matchweek 6 we have some great fixtures on tap that will surely make for an exciting week that could certainly shake up the table, but as always, a quick review of matchweek 5.
Obviously to start, Norwich City ( basically the 19-20 season version of Wolverhampton Wanderers last season) pulled off the greatly unlikely as they defeated Manchester City 3-2 in Norwich. The fairytale season of star forward Pukki continues on and I hope it does for 30 more weeks. What a show this man has put on for all PL spectators this season. Bournemouth pulled off an impressive 3-1 win over Everton as Callum Wilson continues his strong form and cements his place as the best striker outside the top 6 alongside Jamie Vardy. Chelsea won a 5-2 thriller that saw all Tammy Abraham haters retreat back into their computers and delete all racists tweets from the UEFA Supercup as he know has more goals than appearances this season (7 in 5). Wolves are now winless in 5… let that sink in. Lastly, Arsenal failed to maintain an early 2-0 lead courtesy of a Aubameyang first half brace. In typical Arsenal fashion, they conceded 2 in the second half and another David Luiz mistake sealed an overall disappointing performance from the Gunners.
With that, I give you my matchweek 6 preview
This by far is the biggest thriller of the weekend. Perfect record Liverpool face off against the mighty Blues. Chelsea are coming off a very high scoring match that saw Tammy Abraham record his first hat trick in the top flight. Liverpool most recently disappointingly fell 0-2 at the hands of Napoli in the Champions League and this game could come at no better time for Chelsea. Chelsea did also lose in the Champions League as well and saw Mason Mount withdraw due to injury. Expect Christian Pulisic to get the start against his former manager Jurgen Klopp. Chelsea have yet to record a clean sheet this season and that is something likely to be continued tomorrow, expect a thrilling match that I personally see going 3-1 in favor of Liverpool.
Manchester United v West Ham
West Ham United are undefeated since their opening match loss to Manchester City and most recently endured a goalless tie to Aston Villa. Manchester United have been struggling so far since their emphatic 4-0 thrashing of Chelsea in their PL campaign opener. They have struggled against some of the lower sides and have greatly struggled in getting the ball in the net. They haven’t scored 2 goals in a game since that day against Chelsea. Expect a closer game then what meets the eye, I see a 1-1 draw.
Arsenal v Aston Villa
Villa look to really justify their heavy spending and Arsenal meanwhile need to tidy up the defense before a Champions League qualification spot looks probable. Goals aren’t the problem at all for the Gunners but their defense is greatly troubled. They need a hugely improved performance from David Luiz in particular. Expect goals from both sides in a 3-1 Arsenal win
Tottenham v Leicester City
Tottenham and Leicester are level at 8 points a piece and I see the Foxes really pushing for a European spot this season. This has all the makings of a brilliant match that could really go either way, just depends on what type of day Spurs are having. While the North London side can be very inconsistent at times I see them prevailing in a 2-1 win over Brendan Rodgers side
Tammy Abraham…. again.. this guy is just so exciting, I can’t wait to see how he fares in a rematch against Liverpool
Christian Pulisic: with Mason Mount injured, expect him to start and have a great deal of pressure weighing down on him against Liverpool
David Luiz: Can he get back to his best standard?
Wolves/Watford: Can one of them record their first win of the season?
